Forums - Nintendo - If Gamecube had a MGS, why not the Wii?

Gamecube was way more powerful than the PS2/PS1

MGS has always had amazing graphics... and so far, MGS4 would be imposible on Wii.

Maybe on the WiiHD
Orrrrrrr
Wait until tomorrow

GC was more powerful than PS2 (exept for the resolution) but less than XBox...
I think Metal Gear shoul arrive on Wii in a exclusive adventure, like some other games (FF) because if you have many consoles and all have MGS5 you'll buy the game for the one with the best graphic...instead, if you're a fan of MGS you can play the main game on the best graphic system and other "spin-offs" on a innovative System that can make you feeling new experiences in the MGS universe.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Dreamcast was the worst selling. Stop forgetting there were 4 systems then.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

that was Kojima testing the market. MGS was on the Xbox too. They failed in sales in Kojima's eyes so MGS is a Sony franchise.

Personally, I tried to get into the MGS games on the GC, couldn't stand them. I gave the series a fair shot. I'd much rather see one of the Thief games come to the Wii, using the motion controls.

Honestly, I think it got put on the Gamecube because it was the most technically superior console last gen (I think it was more powerful than Xbox anyway?) .

xbox had way better hardware then the rest of the consoles

Sure the Wii can port over MGS Twin Snakes i dont think anybody's complaining lol

I own a Dreamcast and if you wanna know it took part of my life more along de N64 and PSone era than PS2 and Gamecube one.

It was a premature console, but I'm yet to see the sequel for the best "RPG" on 128 bit consoles in my opinion: Shenmue.

dreamcast was more between the 2 gens in terms of when it came out and the hardware it used.  It died out not so long after ps2 came out and was already dead by the time xbox came out.

Casual userbase, hardware not powerful enough for a remake, doesn't make any sense to release a 6th gen game without remaking on a 7th gen console, Kojima himself wants to use the most powerful hardware available to get closer to his vision (though I doubt he'll ever reach it anyway), TTS had pretty bad sales.
