I saw tons of really high scores for this game, so I went out and bought it.

I'm 24 years old... this game does NOT suit me at all. I dont mind the kiddie platformer theme to it. But I do not like the gameplay. It's sluggish compared to old school platformers. The 3-step gameplay is kind of broken and you will very often accidentally miss your jump. The user created content is BETTER than the actual game content. Ugh. I dont see how this game was reviewed so highly.

I think that if you just play singleplayer, and don't care about the multiplayer and level making, it won't suit you (like me, although I'm gonna give both a shot when I have more time this summer... 15 more school days...)

However, that's like not liking Killzone 2 when you haven't even played the Clan battles/join a clan. So some games are built on the optional features.

Of course. I love platformers, but I found this game very boring.

Its not overrated, its all based on opinion, in the long run it will be the game you play the most, trust me.

In my opinion, yes, found it quite boring.

Playing this game by yourself is some of the most boring gaming experiences I have ever experiences...... but once you play with your friends it really is quite fun (for sometime if that is anything.) LBP is a game to play in moderation with friends and it makes a great sunday night game.

Depends on the kind of games you like. LittleBigPlanet is one of those games that you'll either be enticed from beginning to end with being able to create your own levels and find many people to play with, or it'll be one of those games you might find to be awesome at first and then it gets boring. If you have a creative and ambitious mind, then LittleBigPlanet is the kind of game that's for you. If you prefer a more straightforward platformer, then it might not have the kind of value you're looking for.
