Seems that a huge chunk of everything is going to be download only on the psp when the Go! launches. Are we kinda working on a way to track downloadable game sales? Is there even a possibility?

No , unless sony releases the numbers themselves

i don't think so. it's like DS vs. DSi. they're pretty much the same hardware, but with different features.

It's perfect in Japan, almost good enough in NA, and absent in Others.

Clearly, Brett can only track what he is able to, and the rest is not his problem.

The main problem this will probably cause if that companies might not seperate their reports showing how many copies shipped vs sold online, so if a company releases that a game sold a number of companies, we still can't fix the numbers on vgchartz to match the actual hard copies sold.

Welcome to the future of gaming.......this is the direction we are headed (IMO).

I have a feeling......a hunch perhaps, that next Gen will be full download driven......just a hunch. Lets see what happens to places like GameStop then.....hmmmmmm.

Honestly though this is the best thing Sony could do, piracy is to the breaking point on PSP, they're trying a big push for PSP software and what better way to tell third parties its safe to make PSP games then have a system with built in memory and no UMD drive so you lack an easy way to exploit the system.

Or Sony might try the downloadable vouchers in stores as well, but that's not likely. They will have to give PSN cards a big push outside of Japan, that is for sure.

Well PSP tracking is certainly lacking in others... so that won't make much of a difference. I am sure that Sony won't release individual numbers, I don't think they ever have aside from Polyphony Digital having a page dedicated to shipments of their games in all regions
