Dreamworks films seem more like films of the moment (with their cultural references and humor). Pixar's films feel more timeless. I enjoy films like Shrek 2, Madagascar, and even Shark Tale, but Pixar is on a higher level.

I love Toy Story and The Incredibles, so Pixar.

The question itself is insulting. Pixar, by itself, is one of the finest movie studios in the world (including live action and every aspect of filmmaking).

Dreamworks, not so much.

I agree with this. With 'Up' (amazing movie) they've even managed to not look comparitively worse following the masterpiece that was 'WALL-E'.

As several others mentioned, I'd included Studio Ghibli up there as well. I finally watched Castle of Cagliostro last night - fantastic adventure movie!
