If they fix the framerate issue from OS this game is a must buy for me.

Very nice. It has the classic look and (from what I can tell) gameplay of the SNES era, which I've always loved. Not sure why many of you think this sets some kind of a standard for visuals on the console though, as quite a few Wii games look better if you ask me.

I really liked the art style of Odin Sphere, but I thought the gameplay was really bland. If they add platform elements to Odin Sphere style combat for this game I might get it.

This game looks really sweet. Gonna buy it when it comes out in Q4 2008 (at the least).

If they fix the slowdown problems of Odin Sphere, which should be fixed considering how much stronger the Wii is than the PS2, then this is a must buy for me. It looks gorgeous.

@ nanzatips

The only reason Odin Sphere had slowdown problems is because it was on a system with a slow processor. Put that baby on Xbox or GameCube and it would run faster. Put it on PS3 or 360 and it would run like a nuclear powered toaster.

Looks great (Strange memories come back to me... SNES era Mega Man X, EarhtWorm Jim and Monty Python and the Holy Grail)...

I like the Cyclops and the Spider...

I agree.  Very much Earthworm Jim (or Ragnarok Battle OFFline) feeling to it.

Looks fun.  Hopefully it can avoid falling into the "Lack of Story" and "Beaten in One Sitting" pitfalls

What third party Wii games look better than this?

What other 2D side scrolling games have third parties created for the Wii?

that game looks pretty cool. is nice to see a cool looking 2d game come along. theres definitely room to bring back some 2d games to home consoles (espeically to some franchises that don't seem to work well in 3d....sonic)

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus

Proud owner of wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, dreamcast, n64, snes, genesis, 3DO, nes, atari, intellivision, unisonic tournament 2000, and gameboy

The cut scenes are nice, but the game play play footage resembles Neo Geo graphics, and that's not a good thing. And besides, it's 2D, so it better have good graphics... But, like I said... Neo Geo graphics... Which is a double no-no. Never-the-less, it looks nice, but just remember that it is a 2D game...
