Well we all knew this would be a great game (excluding fanboys) but to see that it gets good reviews is very importand for a hype game like this, everything under 9.0 would have been bad, none of the reviews complained about the lenght of the campain so that Scott must have insane skills.

@ mrstick and ssj12: I think the best way to compare simillar situations is BF2 and Doom3, BF2 came out about a year after Doom 3, still Doom 3 looks better than BF2, but Doom 3 is a singleplayer game with small indoor places  and usually not more than 3-5 enemys around,while BF2 is a multiplayer game with big outdoor places and tonns of people (and vehicles... like Halo) shooting and blowing stuff up.

Both games look great and do what they do fantastic, games like Doom 3 and Bioshock will always look better than games like BF2 and Halo3 but then again they will always lack the massive battles and big areas.  

Halo 3's graphics are fine. Just today I was playing Halo 2 and it looked great too me. Gears of War isn't that great of a game. The only reason it got such high marks was because of the graphics. Halo 3 will get high marks for reasons other than being a technological graphic marvel. It is that simple. Though I do have to agree that it does look like Halo 2 in HD, but then again, doesn't Metroid Prime 3?

^^ Metroid Prime 3 is not in HD so the comparison isn´t great, once you see the light, colors, effects and great out door battles with tonns of vehicles you will not be so quick to compare it to Halo 2, they may have a feel to them thats similar but the visuals in Halo 3 are much much, much better. Even if this game doesn´t have THE best graphics out, anybody who calles them dated should go see somekind of Fanboy eye-doctor.

BTW, welcome to VGcharts Snesboy, someone with that name should not complain about graphics... although Star Fox was one of the first 3D games I ever played, oh and your sig is giving me epileptic attacks.

I read a lot things that would killed a game's total scores.

Like it is short, the grafix are not the best on X360 but are okay.

This game get a lot of good reviews just because it is HALO.

Exactly, they basicly say it as if its a 8.5/10 game like warhawk. Gametrailers made mp3 sound like a god and gave it a lower score. They made halo 3 sound like a weaker halo 2, and they gave it a huge score

KZ2 will not get a score higher than halo 3.

Wow, it was a no-win situation for Halo 3 in the eyes of fanboys of other consoles, if it scored low it would have been called an overhyped piece of trash, and if it scored high well... overhyped piece of trash again! Seriously some fanboys need to stop with the tears over other games' review scores on their console of choice and just give this game the respect it deserves.

The graphics are just fine, not the BEST on the 360, but many have stated they are far superior and for crap sakes graphics are NOT EVERYTHING

KZ could get a higher score leo j as long as the gameplay is there.

Also go look back at both things for game trailers, i wouldnt say they stated anything crap about halo 3, just as much as metroid. Id say it got higher because of the very fun mult.

Konnichwa, Leo, you guys gotta grow up, if anything those sites would love to find weak points and give it a lower score, more drama= more readers, no ones going to read "Halo 3 just as good as expected." Point is they can´t say it has no flaws, everything can use improvement but saying its a little short doesn´t mean its super short, 10-15 hours for a action game is great, it leaves a little room for improvement but only a little. So what the graphics are not the best on the 360 ??? Can no game get a better score because of that ??? The graphics are sweet and whats even better the atmosphere and feel of the game are just right.

Just because a game is overhyped doesn´t make it overrated.

EDIT: Rats, beaten by Legend and Kain, why must I ramble so much, at least I was beaten by worthy opponents there is no shame in that.
