Source? I, for one, do know the source but you should tell it anyway; not all do know. You're not giving credit to those that translated the interview. It is basically a copyright infringement, just like piracy - just in smaller scale (and it's slightly different otherwise, but it's still a copyright infringement).

Anyway, an interesting statement, though I wouldn't necessarily be very interested in it. He said it to a Japanese magazine: of course he will try to be nice to the market he's talking to. Besides, I'd consider MGS a Japanese game anyway. Oh, and wasn't this to be released worldwide anyway? Then there's also much more interesting stuff to be speculated, unless this Japanese thing means really Japanese - like, I remember Kojima saying portable stuff is pretty popular, even Portable Ops, so he could be creating something like that specifically for the Japanese market. That said, I'm not sure if they would be hyping this so much if it was that "small".
