Forums - Sony - Alan Wake devs working on PS3?

Not too sure what this could mean... but possibly Alan Wake on PS3?

Sony to host PS3 master training class

While Alan Wake, Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell devs will offer expert development insight

SCEE has announced that it will be hosting a unique PS3 training session during the upcoming two-day Paris Master Class event.

The event, which opens from June 25-26 in the French capital, offers intensive training sessions for visiting developers, with each class being taught by industry experts behind some of the biggest games in recent times.

A list of lecturers includes developers behind the likes of Assassin's Creed 2, Alan Wake, World of Warcraft, Splinter Cell and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Attendees can receive 7-14 hours of intensive training during the sessions, perfecting their skills and knowledge in the areas of programming, visual arts, production, game design and business.

Adding to that list of trainers is Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, which on June 24 will open a special Master Class centred on PS3 programming. The class will be free to all registered PS3 devs who are attending at least one other Master Class.

“We are happy to welcome SCEE at Paris Master Classes” said Pierre Carde, Executive Director of the event. “We are doing our best to make sure attending developers improve their skills and we are convinced having SCEE on board is a key element for it.”

I would guess this is the day the Alan Wake devs are there for.

This is a seperate class which has no relevance to the aforementioned day.  It does say PS3 developers attending other classes will be welcome but that doesn't lead me to believe in anyway they're said they'll attend.

In summary I think you're reading too much into it although we should know for definite if there is no announcement during E3.

I don't see the connection between Alan Wake dev's lecture and SCEE's session. They're just two separate events at the Paris Master Class.

Alan Wake? wasnt it this vaporware who announced years ago?

Remedy do not have a large enough team to be making another game, and even if they did, and it's development was starting this very moment, it would not probably launch until 2012.
