Exactly, people could see posts by this guy and Crazzyman and assume all PS3 fans are just as brainless.

Microsoft will cut the pricce again and again. They dont mind losing money. It ultimatly doesnt effect them. i have £100 and i lose 1p

Hmm.  He contradicted himself....he first says that the PS3 is twice the price of the 360, and that they are selling about even.  And then he goes on to say all the extra things the the 360 doesn't have that every single person definatly needs when they buy their 360, makes the 360 way more expensive than the PS3, and that consumers won't see the 360 as a worthy purchase when the PS3 drops its price.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 So technically a more expensive 360 is outselling a cheaper PS3.    

I am curious how Sony survives if it increases the amount of money it loses per sale of each PS3 by cutting prices, and STILL not beating the Wii. The Wii is the system with all the buzz now, because it sells the most. The PS3 is third. The idea of cutting prices and selling at a loss is to get an installed base in place so that you can then dominate in software sales, because you become the lead console, and thus the system of choice for developers and buyers. Of course, some will end up saying, "But the Wii isn't competing against the PS3!" Well, what entertainment dollars IS it competing for if not the same dollars as the Wii.

I am also curious how exactly making the PS3 cost less for consumers, but not less than the 360, is going to drive people to not buy the 360 over it.

Now excuse me a minute as I play Dark Athena on my 360, and then go off to play some inFAMOUS.

MS does not lose money on the Xbox 360...Unlike with the XBox which had NVidia tech in it MS owns their CPU and GPU....Now that Sony has done what MS did with the XBox...expect them to be less likely to cut the price
