It has the best graphics ever and it only managed a 91 on metacritic. What would the game have been rated if it only had average graphics? The multiplayer is semi-fun and the game is a PS3 exclusive. That is the only reason the game is so highly touted here. I've played it. SP is mediocre, but graphically impressive. You really think KZ2 holds a candle to CoD4?

Also, not everyone who bought it thinks it is special. Isn't "Millions" plural, stretching it?

Finally, "VERY" special? I know a lot of Sony fanboys(I'm not implying you are one, I'm stating a relevant fact, I DO NOT think you are a fanboy of any kind, but read on), and even most of them agree that the game isn't "VERY" special. MGS4(and usually LBP) is better. A game that came out within 1 year of this one. It is a good FPS. It isn't "VERY special," imo, unless you are basing your analysis strictly on graphics.

Millions? Really?

Killzone 2 looks very special, there's no arguing that, and as a realistic shooter, I'd say it's one of the better ones. But it doesn't have the lasting appeal or the drawing power that Call of Duty games do, specifically CoD4: MW. I already have Killzone 2, played and beat it, and have played some good multiplayer, but when it comes down to it, I'd choose Modern Warfare 1 over Killzone 2 currently. MW2 should be even better.

MW2 is not out yet, it only had a few good looking trailers. I expect it to be the biggest game this year on hype alone, plus being amazing. But, that's all expectation, I have played Killzone and I love it, it special to me. And since when 91 avaerage is a bad thing. Any game with a 90 and above rating gets there because many critics thought there was something special about it.

Most people who don't like Killzone didnt like it before it even came out.

modern warfare 1 is one of the best game ever, i would choose it too, that doesnt undermine how good Killzone is though.

Ironic how if its a PS3 game you can use metacritic to target it, but if its a wii game metacritic is automatically invalid to you. Killzone 2 is vastly superior to COD4 imo, because I unlike many others have mastered the controls, because I dont complain about games because they are too hard to get used to, I didnt see anyone complaining about gears of war, im guessing its because its on a different system, one that people tend not to hate on.

Killzone for me, I'm not a huge COD fan. The game will most likely great for those who enjoys it though.

I find it depressing that your top three factors for determing how good a game is are graphics, story, and online.  The most important part of a game is completely ignored.  Maybe that says something about self-proclaimed "hardcore gamers."
