Forums - Website Topics - VGChartz 2.0 - the aftermath!

That addresses most of my concerns. I'm a little disappointed about the resolution issue, but you've explained your reasons, and I'm sure you're right that almost all of the internet will be optimized for 1200 pixels or wider in a couple years.

I made this comment in the other thread but I'm not sure if it's been noticed by the powers that be: The new screenshot viewer super-distorts DS screens. It looks pretty awful.

My only complaint is that the front page seems a little cramped now. It just seemed easier to differentiate the old way. So perhaps just a little spacing/text size/text colour thing. Otherwise, change is good. we should all embrace it.

Ok I just changed to 1280*768 resolution, and I still have a tiny sidescroll to do. (unless my zoom criteria is changed, if I zoom out once There is about 1.5cm of black on either side of the website, is that what it should look like?)

I will be changing back though as all the text is now thin and tall looking.

What font size does the site actually use anyway? if we just increase that by maybe 2pts none of this widescreen stuff will matter anymore.

I found that I still cannot copy and paste a table directly to a forum post without losing border, font attribute, and some other things...

But, the HTML button on the editor now solves all these problems... I just switch to the HTML source, copy and paste my tables into my HTML tool of choice, highlight the table source HTML in the editor, paste it into the nifty new HTML editor and life is good.

Apart from the site not loading now sometimes, i dont mind the change. Not sure if it really was an improvement though

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

i think everything in the new site is cool but , i still like to see a white background, i don't think the bias excuse is valid because the ps3 is black and now you can be accused of sony bias.
What i liked the most about the old version was that it was simple, lost of professional sites try to be simple because it lets the user go where he/she wants to quick, l amazon for example, and thats the reason i come to this site and not others. I only use 3 simple sites for gaming news, this one, psu.com and gametrailers, most of the other sites i have seen have to many things and is hard to find what i want to see. Overall the new site is like old one but better organize, so the design is ok, is still simple but the black color scheme reminds me of all those other gaming sites that are very cluttered, so while this site may not telly be cluttered my mind makes a link to all those other black game site are cluttered, and so is hard for me to find things i want to see now.

Hey Listen!

so, let's see if tables are working how I think they should. Everything looks good while typing, but last time I tried this it didn't work in the actual post.

EDIT: this didn't work, but if you were to edit it it shows up correctly. ioi try it out and see what I have in my post. I absolutely have to have this feature for the prediction league standings thread so I can easily alternate colors between rows. If I had to change every row by hand rather than using the "odd rows" option I couldn't as I have 1000's of lines each week.

row one should be blue , which was done via "edit row"
row two should be default as I only changed "odd rows"

@rain the topics are orange because they are in pc discussion.

No, it's random. I've seen the same thread with the white color on it, and threads outside the PC section with the color.
