I exclude PC/Mac from consideration here since so many people have PCs for things other than gaming (but including gaming), it's virtually a given that every console owner also has a PC/Mac in the house (in fact as a follow up question how many console owners DON'T have a PC/Mac?).
I think keep it within each generation too, so don't count PS1, 2 & 3 as multi-console, nor SNES, GC & Wii. I'm interesated in knowing who has 2 or more directly competing consoles from the same generation. PSP+DS=multi console too, but DS+PS3 doesn't since they are not directly competing.
I personally will only ever own one console from any generation (PS3 [soon] this gen), and am unlikely to ever own a HH (though the PSPhone may tempt me, I'd be getting it as a phone of course, that just happens to play games). However I have 2 sons, one has a DS and the other has a PSP so we are a HH multi-console house. Just not me personally.
I'm mostly looking to see whether there is any market research data to indicate how many households there are "out there" beyond the VGC/interweb community, the great unwashed, with multiple consoles. Any one know?
