I thought the comparison was PSP vs DSi two handheld gaming consoles on ALL that they could do not just games. DSi can do other things besides games can't it? They have added media capabilities to it. They have also added capabilities to download games and demos similar to what PSP has been doing for a while now.
Again, just my opinion.
I have been pretty happy with what has been available on PSP and what is on the horizon. I have not been as happy with the DS.
It could be that I had been told time and time again that DS has a far superior library and is generally a far superior handheld ... then I bought it and it was hardly any better than my GBA. Most of the games didn't even use the second screen (although things have changed since then).
Like most things an opinion is based on perception of a product.
High hopes ... not met .. worse opinion Not high hopes ... surpassed expectations... great opinion

I think that you might believe I'm upset with your opinion. Sir, I most honestly, am not. I sprawl in delight when I see such an honest opinion, boldly presented here.
However, in the internet, we often confuse honesty with "the truth," and I'm just trying to clear that up for everyone. Just because you are giving your honest opinion, doesn't mean it's correct. In fact, most controversial "honest" opinions run contrary to generally accepted opinion.
Your opinion, for instance, is so contrary to the accepted norm, it is nearly unbelievable, and thus our mind jumps to the potential of dishonesty and biased, but you have given proof of none of those things.
The PSP has, lately, been in quite a gaming drought, while the DS has managed to release quite a string of core critical hits, such as Order of Ecclesia and Chinatown Wars, as well as a plethora of Japanese related content that the PSP has yet to, and never will see. Yet, you claim that you have not only been dissatisfied, but UNHAPPY with the releases on the DS, while AT THE SAME TIME saying you are completely happy with your recent PSP purchases, despite the afformentioned draught.
Perhaps you could explain exactly which games you disliked on your DS, and games you liked on your PSP.
As for your assumed assertion that the PSP deserved to win because of its multimedia capabilities, and not souly based on its game library, perhaps you are right. However, the question shouldn't have been framed in such a way, as a direct comparison between said game console. PSP vs DSi, indicates that we are comparing two game consoles, not two multimedia devices. Why should the PSP win because it has a MP3 player? It can't play Mario Kart DS, or Chinatown Wars. It is misleading, for the purpose of page hits, and biased towards technical specifications of the acutal machine, rather than the quality of library(which was only given ONE single characterization(try to compare home consoles with only a passing mention of game library and see what I mean), based off the afformentioned faulty assumption, that casual games don't count). It is totally bogus. Again, try comparing the Wii and the PS3 with game library only a minute consideration(2 verses 2.5 lets say), and check out the backlash.
Unlike your opinion, this article is provably based off incorrect and frankly offensive assumptions. You should see some of the CNet articles about the PS3 before you champion it.
