I haven't read the entire thread yet, so maybe someone has already brought this up, but I could not let such injustice pass by without notice.

In sheer units sold, then yes, Gamecube is "more failed" than PS3. Difference is, Gamecube made a very healthy profit throughout it's entire life and made Nintendo almost as much money as the PS2 made Sony. The PS3 so far has been nothing but loss. You might want to re-evaluate your judgement of "success" and "failure".

No Phillips Cd-i? Well why should there be when that console was so full of win.

Wow, what a bad list, only virtual boy, n-gage and jaguar really deserve to be on that list.

The other 4 should be replaced by Apple Pippin, Atari Lynx, 3DO, Amiga CD32, Philips CD-I and Gizmondo (i know theres 6 for 4 places ^^).

And i think the fact that nobody ever thinks about the Amiga CD32 should give it the 1st place by itself.  I have checked on the net and on the 5 lists i've seen, no one has talked about it...  Of course, it was finally not launched in the usa so...

I know, you will say, of course, nobody has ever heard of it but that's far from the truth, in Europe the Amiga brand was very well known in 1993 and every Amiga fan knew about the CD32, it was a cdrom 32 bit console 2 years before the PS1 !  At the beginning, it even sold more cd games the first months than the PC.  I was selling it in my shop and in the 1st months, it wasn't bad but it failed soon after.

Actually that is not true. Nintendo had at the same time complete domination in handheld market which made the most of the profits. Gamecube was profitable but nowhere near PS2 level.

I believe the best value in games on the Wii Virtual Console is TurboGrafx games.  They are 600 credits, 100 more than the NES.  And the graphics are a bunch better.  Now, if they would only get Legendary Axe on there.
