The grey background deosn't work for me, especially red text on it - it buggers my eyes up looking at it.

As for the running of the site, it is slower but not worth moaning about unless it can't be ironed out.

Most people's moans will derive from being taken out of their comfort zone...

Instead of making a thread about this, why not post alongside the 500 people who have done the same in the six different "How to improve VGC 2.0" threads?

I like it, but part of me thinks that the days of browsing with my Wii, from the sofa are done. I haven't tried it yet, but I don't think the old girl can handle this site anymore. I guess it's laptop from here on out.

Here, let me give you a picture of what they look like for me:

Either you have horrible eyesight, or your computer has something like a 1.1:1 contrast ratio. The grey is almost black.

I don't like the grey background too... Too unconfortable to read.

There are new pretty cool things, as the chartz presentation, but the gamespot color scheme hurts my eyes (in fact, I don't read gamespot because of this). I prefer reading black over light colors. If it's only a CSS adjustment it should be pretty easy to select between 2 or 3 different color schemes.

Anyway, I hope the power ungriness of the site descends over time...

My laptop just overheated and crashed because of VGChartz using to much resources!!!

And I'm glad I'm not the only one the prefer the older version.

I'm usualy not a hater and I have to admit it displays better than the older on Firefox linux (the older one had some display issues on my ubuntu) but they really need to do something so it doesn't use too much cpu. And please make the white background available.

The color scheme- not great. the black background is such a turn around from the pleasant white background that was in place before. The white text on a gray sub background- not the best idea either. The front page is rather cluttered now. The first version didn't need changing imo

My main problem is also the black background if it was white like before i would be loving the site but all this darkness is making my eyes bleed lol

Will there be in the future a chose your background color option ?

All the rectangles/lines and the colours makes it look cheap somehow..
It's also information overload. Difficult to focus on the front page.

Okay if the picture you posted is accurate then we are seeing absolutely different things.  Mine is the lightest shade of grey possible.  So I have a light background with white text on it.
