I'm going to say no, there is just no need for it yet. Have a look at this chart, it's worth while.

It doesn't address 2160p directly but you can extrapolate.
As for your questions about the human eye:

EDIT: Someone beat me to it.
Switch Code: SW-7377-9189-3397 -- Nintendo Network ID: theRepublic -- Steam ID: theRepublic
Now Playing
Switch - Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
3DS - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Trilogy) (2005/2014)
Mobile - Yugioh Duel Links (2017)
Mobile - Super Mario Run (2017)
PC - Borderlands 2 (2012)
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)
there'd be no point to it yet for gaming, for PCs, probably, depending on what your are working with and how many monitors you have. People are already bench marking PC games at 2560x1600 after all, not too far to one step higher.

At the moment, developers need to focus on better graphics for the next generation rather than resolution. TV's will get that when technology gets better.
Lol...giving that high of a resolution to a gmae like Call of Duty 4 is like putting 1000 horsepower on a whats a stock Chevy Camaro.
Completely pointless...but hella cool.
