Well Modern Warfare is not a system seller, a multiplatform game is never a system seller. Do you wanna know why? It's because it's probably on the console that you own. So your argument is irrelevant compared to this topic. And I'm guessing you are a PS3 owner in the wrong forum, cause you seem like it.

Now that Wii owners have motion control, many of them don't want to go back to analog. It's similar to how many 360/PS3 owners only accept HD games now, and nothing less.
Yes they were probably playing before this gen, but now their wants and expectations have changed.

And what about people who don't own a console yet?

Just because a game is multiplatform doesn't mean people won't buy the console to play it on. If you like a game, and it's multiplatform, hell, you get options to choose from, but you still buy a console for that game. Or should I just go to the charts?
Do you see that first spike in sales? Week before average to be 170k for both consoles, and afterwards it spiked to 270k for the PS3 and 250k for the 360? That's called Grand Theft Auto IV. A multiplatform game.
Saying a game won't boost sales because it's multiplat is like saying the game isn't good because it's multiplat. You fail. Quit begging for games you know are not going to be on your console. Buy the system that you know has them.
I sure wish MW2 would just come to Wii and this Thread would end.

i don't know why but i have the impression that last gen wasn't that much about FPS, i think it was mostly about swords, now it's more FPS it seems to me
to tell the truth i don't know if i can even be considered a gamer last gen , i've only played something like 3-4 games, like Pokemon, SoulCalibur on Ps2, Tales of Symphonia and a bit of God of War
i've played some FPS on PS1 when i was like 10, and i don't remember being amazed : P
the first FPS to amaze me was on Wii, Metroid Prime 3, then got Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Call of Duty, Scarface and now waiting for Conduit
i've tried some demos on Ps3, i like them, but since i got to try Wii FPS, and i don't care about graphics that much, i guess i'll stick to Wii for FPS
i know i'm in the minority, but at least it's nice to see MP3, Call of Duty and some other FPS to sell on Wii

I've said on many occasions I own a PS3 as well, but when a console gets disrespected for the reason of it being non-HD then that's flat out ridiculous, I have always been a Sony/Nintendo guy but when I see the console getting shunned away that makes me upset.
For some reason both Sony and Nintendo's current gen consoles are the ones getting disrespected, even though both Sony and Nintendo have done so much for the gaming industry. Microsoft is all "hot shot" when they have not introduced anything new to the gaming industry unlike Sony and Nintendo.
Yeah so enough with that buying a HD console, I have two a PS3 and a PC.

Imagine if LucasArts refused to make a Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? They would've thrown out 1,250,000 copies worth of sales. COD 3 & WAW on the Wii have sold 2,250,000 copies combined- do they really want to make the mistake of not following up the 2nd time?
Facebreaker sold 125k on the Wii while the other versions didn't do that combined. What if Sonic Unleashed was PS3/360 exclusive? 925,000 copies right out the window.
Companies with sense wouldn't pass that up. What are the investors and stockholders see in the Wii that I don't? Obviously it seems to be money....... Each new Madden on the Wii is selling more and more, and I bet the new one may even sell 1m, so consistency is important here.
Missing out on the most famous COD would be a ridiculous oversight.

I don't think not developing CoD on the Wii is an oversight, when it took FOREVER to get to the 1.15M it's at now, and the HD consoles did that in like Week 1 each, and have gone on to sell 8.8M copies between the two
