hyped here? big deal. The fans in vgchartz represent like 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% of the total gamer population.....

it is miles far from average, i already tried the full game.
In any case, this is perfect advertising from sony, now everyone that watches that movie will likely see an infamous ad, and hopefully with a PLAYSTATION 3 logo in the end.

haha, yeah, sony just a slow ass in advertisements so they get proud of showing just a 30 seconds advert on a theater.
seriously why would the gamers care about that?
its like saying if your going to ask for a cookie im going to give it to you but im going to dance around it so that you would notice me, the guy who asked me for the cookie, the guys already know about the game.

When I am selling/pitching the game to someone at my store I just show them the videos and they go gaga over it. I actually have walk ins who already know about it due to IGN, Gametrailers, GameInformer, that have done nothing but praise it and they are actually interested. I never had a walk in ask about Killzone 2 oddly enough. I think this game might just outsell KZ2. |
What I meant by that is that usually, when you see game trailers shown at movies, they are really graphical games. Gears of War and Lost Planet (at the time) looked really great and I remember seeing those in the movies, while inFAMOUS looks real good for a sandbox game, it's not winning any best graphic awards.
OT, I just finished watching a few inFAMOUS trailers, and man I got hyped up for this game again LOL (the demo had already made this a must have). Honestly, if they were to show any of these trailers, it'd be a pretty damn good ad, but too bad it's only 30 seconds.
Looks like sony might be shaping up and getting back in gear with things like this, and that new campaign they have going with best buy to help educate the consumer on the features of the ps3.

IGN gave it a 9.2
That's above average... Like way above

True, but I don't follow ratings anymore.

Why didn't Killzone 2 receive ads like this in NA? It's got a more cinematic presentation, and and would've benefited more from something like this, imo. Plus, it was Sony's biggest first party release for the ps3 yet, and will remain that way until either GT5 or GoWIII. You'd think it would've been the game to enjoy the limelight like this.
@MakingMusic
I dont understand Sony's actions sometimes either. I really think they are just stuck on stupid half the time when it comes to advertising. They could hire some college students and do a better job then what they have been doing. Whomever is currently in charge of PS3/1st Party game advertising should be fired immediately!
