Forums - Nintendo - Everybody says hardcore dont sell on wii.... but there´s a new one everyday

What gives?

Dead Space

The Conduit

Red Steel 2

Overlord

Resident Evil Darkside

Spyborgs

Monster hunter G

Monster Hunter Tri

Ju-On

Indiana Jones

Phantom Brave

That Muramasa game

Factor 5 game

Mistwalker game

Batheseda Game

And there must be a bunch of others that i dont remember and dont care to look right now.

What´s the deal? Why people still releasing these games if "hardocre dont sell on wii"

Around the Network

What do they all have in common? Very low budget games.

Do you mean those who have already been released or are you actually saying those games on his list is low budget?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

They don't lose millions of dollars and put companies out of business?

You should wait until you see the sales of said games before discussing the argument that such games do not sell well.

How much these games sold? (It´s not a joke, I would really like to know that).

Btw: "Mistwalker game" is what? I really didn´t hear anything... I there any info?

Bull. Low budget isn't what you think it is.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I'm sure part of the issue is the delta between planning and funding, and development and release. They probably started planning nearly 2 years ago.

These would be the games released as game companies investigated the feasibility of hardcore on Wii. Remember that lots of companies were blind-sided by the Wii success and hadn't appropriated funded titles on what fairly quickly became the most prolific console this gen.

Whether you see more hardcore games (beyond a token few every year) will definitely depend on the sales of this current wave of titles. Mad World isn't a good omen, but that's a single title. Haven't the Resident Evil ones done well?

dont say "mistwalker game" yes they have dev kits but we don't know if they're actually making a wii game

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

IM not saying anything

"People" are saying

For "People" i mean Kotaku, Gamesradar, etc

Me? I think the fact that every single day has the announcement of a new hardcore wii game means they are selling, and the new ones will sell more.
