This game give a chance to swing your fists like a boxer ,yeah you can just shake it.But why you need to do that if it much funny to throw you fist instead of just shaking it?

And i confirm again you can fully control BB ,don't need light speed to make it work. You just gotta learn how to shift your weight to make it work correctly.

*edit*

I just lose to Great Tiger so i take an hour learning in practice mode with him, and i found no problem in BB control.Only if you too scurry that's when your going to get hit.

All enemies movement will stop for a seconed(when their body glow red) before attack. That's enough time to lean, duck or block their attack.

I'm super late to the thread, but good job in the OP noname2000.

As for the game, it's just awesome.

Thank you much. And I agree about the game: looking forward to what Europeans have to say about it now.

I didn't really see what was so great about Punch-Out at first (I have no relation to the first title), but now that it is a Noname endorsed title, it definitely is a must buy for me.

When I write Fact: in one part of the post, and opinion: (or a similar word), it's not because I can then say "my opinion can't be wrong". It is to inform what part is pure facts, and which part I try to draw a conclusion in.

I only have two issues with the motion controls:

1. The thumbstick. Mac's dodging is binary, and doing it with an analog stick feels clumsy. Sometimes my thumb slips and I duck instead of dodging or something.

2. I do get tired. That's not really a bad thing. I'm just used to punching like I mean it in Wii games. It's good exercise, but I do wear down and start getting sloppy, especially with that clumsy thumbstick. If I run out of hearts before I want to stop fighting, I just switch to wiimote only and keep fighting.

Oh, and is anybody else going for challenges before winning the championship?

I've got all of Glass Joe's and Von Kaiser's. I couldn't figure out five ways to get stars out of Disco, though. I did figure out how you can beat King Hippo without punching his cavernous mouth, but it was getting to late for me to actually execute it, and knowing how to get stars out of him gives me an idea for getting more stars out of Disco.

I have a feeling this is going to sell really well. I'd actually say somewhere around 4-6 million copies. Alot of people have been talking about it at school, and what not. The commercial seems to be quite popular, and punch out! is still a very well known name. I don't expect a massive opening, but I think it will leg it out big.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

I LOVED the first two games. Reviews for the Wii version make it sound like it's more of a cel-shaded remake rather than a new game.

Id still buy it if I had a Wii though

Here is how you get them

  1. Punch him during his taunt. He always starts with this.

  2. punch him right before his jab (a hook will work)

  3. Give him a right hook when he does his hook ("Here it comes")

  4. Punch him when he's dancing. You must jab when his teeth shine (BONUS: if you star punch him when you can get the star, he'll go down.)

  5. Dodge his attack and counter it. End with a jab, then attack him with the opposite hook. This is the hardest one to get.

I knew it was going to be something like this. Some of these stars basically require a fluke for you to discover them. But it is so sweet when you find them. Well, sweet when you find them on a hard enemy, at least. :P

PS, the new website design has forced me to reconsider my highlighting strategy.
