Forums - Gaming - Why you do not trust Metacritic. (something i said a couple of times)

My personal opinion on Metacritic is that it's great for having a nice, convenient list of a lot of reviews for any particular game. That way, I can find out what people didn't like about it, find out what was great, and decide from there. The numbers are stupid; content is the part of the review that matters.

Then who do we trust?

Your own opinion.

That and the fine reviewing staff at VGChartz.

Edited that for you.

have you guys ever heard of these sites? seriously

Everyeye.it

ZTGameDomain

Da Gameboyz

Bottom line is, dont judge games based on Metacritic (or any rating for that matter , but thats another topic)

Yeah I've heard of it and it's not because it's an Italian site that it's not legit to review games, actually they do a pretty good job imho, they're harsh and don't dispense 9 let-alone 10 as easily as some "major" reviewers :

I have a simple solution. Create a thread in your favorite on line forum (I personally like vgchartz). Tell people what games you have played so they can get an idea of what you like. Ask for a suggestion of what you should play next, or, if you have your mind set on one particular game, ask if that game is worth playing.

When you know people that share your taste in gaming, it gets easier to know if you're going to like something or not. That's how I do it, anyway.

i do not own it, if thats what you're trying to say.

killzone 2 was not as good as HALO 3. Soooo not sure what your problem with metacritic is

Once again, research, not a simple numerical score, is the only thing that will keep you marginally positive in your videogame purchases. Everyone eventually buys a game they hate, but buying a game you like requires research. Research games.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
