Didn't you know? There's a plot ps3 developers have to follow while being interviewed:
1-Talk about the game
2-Talk 3 times about th3 C3ll
3-Talk once about blu-ray(not obligatory)
4-Say it can't be done on 360
But war... war never changes

A "dummed down" version isn't the same game though. I believe that's what the developers are trying to say, in their current forms, their games are impossible on other consoles.

Read my second point. They will never know unless they break away from Sony and dare to go 3rd party. Capcom made Dead Rising for the Wii so anything is possible if you have people with good talent.

Because they're on blu-ray discs?

I agree with his Second Hu's Qoute...Where does Guerilla games get off saying that they that 360 can't do KillZone....When did they have time to develop for Xbox 360..last I checked it took them almost five years to make KZ2.....The fact is that these team would just not know......FFXIII blows those three games out the water...And it's coming to Xbox 360 (Ok...Heavy Rain Looks pretty awesome..But they don't have to use to much power for facial motion since it Motion capture..) |
lol
1 - you have never even seen the 360 version, so how the hell can you say that. For all you know its gonna end up being a mediore port, nothing more then a gimped version of a great game.
2 - we all have little clue how good FF13 will end up, though i can safely say Uncharted2 will make FF13 its bitch visually. One is multi the other is designed to take advantage of specific hardware. And ND makes all of Squaresoft their bitch as far as game dev is concerened. Se has been releaseing crap lately, while ND is possibly the #1 dev on the PS3.
Its basic thinking, what they needed to get K2 to run as good as it does the 360 can't do.
i tried putting on ioi 2 on my PS3 and then it got a console flu and died.
so yeah you cant run any game on any console
Not sure if it is good or bad, but I am fairly certain I can run FANBOYS of consoles on my Wii, PS3 and 360. They usually can handle one or maybe two (the Wii usually the one that gets run second). When I try to run fanboys on the third console, they usually freak out, throw the controller, drool, and complain their head is about to explode. They then storm out of the room and call me a looser. I am deeply offended by that. I can understand them calling me a loser, but the "looser" part REALLY hurts.

You still don't get it, was Dead Rising: Chop till you Drop, the same game as Dead Rising was on the 360? The simple answer is no. The game was different in several ways and while it was fun on the Wii (IMO, I played it) it wasn't the same game. That's the point...

My point is we will never know because those three companies will never make anything besides PS3 games until they decide to break free from Sony.

Points of note: Quantic Dream originally had HEAVY RAIN down as multiplat, but felt Sony had the same vision they did, and decided on PS3 exclusivity. I believe hey knew what the 360 hardware was capable of, and still decided on this. They felt that Sony would let them make the game "the way they wanted to", and announced a publishing deal with them Sucker Punch I'm not so sure, weren't they owned by Microsoft, or working with Microsoft at one point? Guerrilla Games is owned by Sony, so I agree with you on this dev... One thing we definitely agree on, we will never know from these devs since two are sticking with Sony this gen, and one is owned by them, so they are Sony. |
But none of these developers will ever release a game on the 360 so they will never know its true power. Also if Capcom would have had more time for development I'm pretty sure the Dead Rising version on the Wii could have been closer to the 360 version.
