I'll keep an eye on this when we start seeing proper info about it, but without Itagaki I'm going to remain skeptical.

 I feel the same.

Itagaki knew the old ninja gaidens and knew how to make them work in 3D. Without him, these guys will probably try to emulate itagaki and make it work in the current gaming climate. I see them probably consider things like coop, online multiplayer and "survivor" mode...lol

I agree also. Ninja Gaiden was always Itagaki's vision, so it's hard to try to make something that was envisioned by someone else and stay true to it's core. It's like some other guy at Nintendo making a Mario game trying to continue Miyamoto's vision.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Exactly. It's going to be hard to keep the machine going properly without the biggest cog there to turn the other cogs. But we'll see how it turns out.

Good idea, but no Itagaki, no buy.

Great news, the gamers finally win !

Enough with the stupid timed exclusive thingy !

Nooooooooooo. He should release the 360 version first (buggy so that the 360 players can debug it). Then he should upgrade it for the PS3 with extra stuff.

Wasn't the current head of Team Ninja directly under Itagaki though? If it had to be anybody else, I would choose him.

Hopefully they actually keep their word. It would mean better sales for the game overall instead of making people wait, get tired of waiting and skip the game completely.

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

Itagaki couldn't prevent NG2 from being a massive letdown, so I don't see why his departure would be a fatal blow.

Saying that NG2 is a letdown is like saying that Scarlet Johanson could be prettier...
