Lets cut through some of your typical BS.

Sony did not come out with the PS3 advertising it (or even mentioning it) as the "console to serve your multimedia and gaming needs for the next decade".  That kind of longevity talk came WAAAYYY later because they are trying to save face.

Actually this talk was from before the PS3 even launched in 2006:

The Xbox 360 is not "most geared" at teen males.  I'm almost 38.

I said nothing about your age (despite you show adolescent behaviour..)

According to a Nielsen study the XBox 360 is most popular amongst 12-17 year old males. The Wii is most popular amongst kids aged 6-11 and the PS3 is most popular amongst 25 to 34 year olds.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

Sony's older demographic is probably why it will have a shorter life than the Xbox 360.

I don't think so, I think gamers are getting older (because our parents and grandparents did not grow up with video games, they are still watching movies though).

As the PS3 entry pricing drops, I expect the PS3 to start to feast more on the XBox 360's teen market with a slimline console. Current teens can always graduate towards a PS3. I think neither console stands a real chance against Nintendo regarding preteens, nomatter how much the 360's pricing drops. It's just not a preteen appealing console (and I think parents prefer their preteen kids to own a console which is dominated by cute gaming).

Fair enough on the 10 year thing that someone from the company said it then.  Unlike you I fully admit when I am in error.  I never saw this info at the time.  And if I did not see it (someone interested in gaming) I'm guessing this was not well publicized as a selling point then, which is unfortunate.  But again you were right on this one and I was wrong.  (Hint - there is a lesson here that you should try to learn for someday).

"Most popular" is not the same as "most geared".  Just because more 12 to 17 year olds prefer Xbox 360 does not make the PS3 most geared for 25 to 34 year olds.  "Most geared" is certainly debatable.  Fact, Fallout 3 DLC is on Xbox 360, fact, Lost and the Damned is on 360, fact, Mass Effect is only on 360.  There is a pretty easy argument available to say Xbox 360 is most geared to adult male gamers.  Of my friends in my age group that have consoles all the guys who have only one system of this gen have Xbox 360.  There is more content for our age group (late 30s) and its a better value for the money, important since my buddies have mortages to pay for etc.

As for the adolescent crack.  The proof is in the pudding.  I'm not the one with multiple temp and perm bans in my history all over internet like you and abuse reports etc.  And I'm not the one who posted on here drunk because he could not hold his liquor the other day.
