Forums - Gaming - Mrstickball needs a graphic artist to help with a video game..

*Self Edit: Was in the wrong forum*

That Mrstickball may be funding in the near future.

I am not needing the most hardcore graphic artist ever, but I am looking to fund a MMO project in the near future, and need some artist renderings on what I want.

Objective:

Create artist renderings for my potential upcoming zombie MMO codename 'Rebellion' - a FPSMMORPG. You will need to create between 3-5 drawings using Photoshop, Maya, or any other graphical rendering program.

What Kind of Pictures Are Needed?

What I'm needing are some random renderings for a steriotypical FPS (think Left 4 Dead mixed with Resident Evil). It can be in-game screenshots, creature renderings, or whatever - have fun visualizing the Zombie Apocalypse!

Some features to think of:

  • Reailistic weapons/ammo counts
  • Dozens or hundreds of zombies per level (mixed between Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, and Dead rising numbers)
  • 8+ Player Co-Op
  • Post-Zombie Apocalypse 'mounts' (instead of horses, think Ford trucks with machineguns in the bed and railroad ties for bumpers)
  • Primary quests include defending inhabited buildings, searching for food/water/ammo, transferring civilians to less-infected areas, and so on
  • Will incorporate multiple styles of zombies (Dead Rising/Romero's of the Dead-type zombies, 28-day later zombies, as well as infected animals like dogs, bears and other animals).

Use your imagination. The project is in the concept stage, and we're just starting with basic visuallizations.

Reward:

$20.00 per used picture. I'm looking for between 3-5 pictures, but may use more. Who knows, if this project gets off the ground, you may find yourself getting a bit more than you bargained for

You may submit as many pictures as you like. Remember: Original work only. Don't steal from someone else

How To Send the Pics:

Either PM me on VGC, or use my offical VGC EMail at BSchlichter@VGChartz.com

Enjoy!

I wont be able to make you any screens...

But i shall definately have a look at your game when its released, sounds awesome!

hmmm I've been doing Photoshop classes for two years now and might be able to whip a little something up..if I do I'll certainly let you know.

Thats pretty exciting your working on a new game bet your pumped!

FYI: There's no real time limit on the contest. I'd like to keep it at, or under a month.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Hmmm, It is an interesting concept. But 'funding' the game, and providing art works of 'realistic ammo and hundreds of zombies on-screen' drawn by someone off VGchartz for $20 each, whilst not mutually exclusive, are definitely an odd combination.

A game being in 'pre-alpha' makes the assumption that you have usable builds of the game, and that the project is evolving and being tested after changes are made. I am glad for you if this is the case, and I am sure that your talented programming team has devised a working, yet buggy, MMO world, great physics and a brilliant interaction systems and are just waiting for some photo-shop pictures so they can keep going.

Good Luck!!!

Question: Is this for XNA? Just checking, thats the platform me and my group have been working on. Are you looking for sprites, concept art, wha? and from what angle do you want these pictures?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Just posting here so I can find the thread back.. If I can find the time i'll make some artwork.... but I won't do anything if the game doesn't have a chainsaw!!!

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Shadow -

No. Web based PC would be the target platform.

I_Heart:

I never said they had to include those things. Just some bullet points on some things to think about so you get a general idea. If your not going to contribute to the thread, then I suggest you go elsewhere.
