You better play COD 4 before Killzone 2 the game hasn't aged well especially right next to KZ2.

Whatever, CoD 4 still looks amazing.  It also has a much more enjoyable single player mode than killzone 2, which is what you are going for.  I would say play CoD 4 first, just because it is a better game.

As much as I love CoD 4, KZ2 is better, more realistic, better looking, better animated, and more challenging and skill requiring overall.

just because a game has better graphics doesn't mean it is a better game.  CoD 4 has a much better story, the gameplay is a way funner.  Has broader range of weapons which is important for a FPS game.  The multiplayer is much more addicting.

I will give kz2 better graphics, but that is about the only area it is better than CoD4.

I should add that a strong multiplayer in no way affects my decisions (and I'm only quoting this post because it was the last to mention multiplayer).

If I choose KZ2 or CoD4 I'll give the multiplayer a go because it's there, but I'm not a big multiplayer person so it in no way really affects my decision.

I hafe to admit though the only thing holding me back from buying Ico is that it was a 2000 release , and i have a problem with retro graphical shock .

Luckily, I really don't care about graphics all that much so I don't mind playing games from 2000.

If its a game i played and loved back in the day, I dont mind the graphics . But if its a good game that i never heard or had a chance to play, and it has a good 5-6 years on it; it usually turns me off. Probably the same problem you had with SotC and ( if memory serves me right ) FF VII.

That typo actually made me laugh. Hats off to you!

I played ICO a few years ago with my cousin, and it has insanely hard puzzles. We ended up getting stuck at some point and we never did get passed it... even with a guide!

It was fun though. The combat was extremely basic but running around and going through the game was pretty fun. There was also a bit of constant tension having to worry about that uselessly defenseless girl getting nabbed by the baddies. :P

Wait, you couldn't figure it out, even with a guide?  I don't understand what that means?

I think I remember using a guide once during ICO.  It's definitely the kind of game where you can get stuck, and sometimes it's on something that turns out to not even be a puzzle -- just going somewhere you hadn't quite noticed, or something small like that.

I beat the game in one sitting, though, despite getting stuck for a while two or three times.  It helps to have someone watching you play contributing their own ideas.

The biggest problem about that was we had no idea where we were in accordance to the guide. The guide did a piss-poor job of explaining where in the game it was and where in the game you were. Then again I would probably have a hellofa time trying to write a clear guide on that game. It was basically filled with "the room after the outside bridge", "near the next room on the left", etc.

I've never had a problem with how SotC looked, in fact, I thought it looked wonderful, I just grew bored of it quickly and I hated riding to the next colossus.

With FFVII, that's a different problem.  I don't mind dated graphics, but FFVII always just looked bad.  Yes, I know, that's the best they could do then but that still doesn't mean it looks like ass.  I thought it looked like ass in 1997 and I still think it looks like ass today.  Just because you have the tech to use doesn't mean you have to use it.  If they had made FFVII 2D sprites and then moved to 3D when they could actually make it look decent like in FFVIII that would have been much more preferable.

And I understand you also have to fail a few times and work out kinks to get to something like FFVIII, but it still doesn't change the fact FFVII still looks like ass.

COD4 the game is short but immensely satisfying. Then you'll move on to the multiplayer and are in for a whole nother ride.

Ico

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

After reading this, I think I'm going to do CoD4 while still going through Fallout 3 and possibly Ico at work.

I didn't really want to do two 360 games at once, but since CoD4 is apparently short I don't have a huge problem with that. Punch-Out!! is coming out next week I believe so that should work well.

Thanks for all the input yall!

Wow, started playing CoD4 and man, that game is *really* good.

I was annoyed at first because there was so much going on and didn't always know what to do but I'm really liking this game. The nuclear bomb just exploded and I'm just really enjoying the game.

I say Dead Space
i loved the game

Dead Space, it's really a joy to play especially your first time through. The ending is pretty epic.
