Sega will be releasing seven oldies on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, all re-worked in high-definition. While all games will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, oddly only one of the seven games will see daylight on PlayStation Network. The games are: Gunstar Heroes (XBLA & PSN), Altered Beast (XBLA), Shinobi (arcade) (XBLA), Comix Zone (XBLA), Phantasy Star 2 (XBLA), Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (XBLA), and Sonic and Knuckles (XBLA).

The games will support online leaderboards as well as network play (except Phantasy Star 2, Shinobi, Comix Zone.) and will be out individually “this summer,” with the exception of Sonic and Knuckles which is marked for a “late summer” release.

Does anyone know whether Shinobi is the same as Shinobi 3 in the UGC (Im thinking no but just checking) ? Is Shinobi on any other platforms besides XBLA for current gen?

Thanks for Gunstar Heroes! it's the only game that isn't included in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection!

PSN is not getting them? okay with me. I got SUGC and it has all of these. Xbox owners should also buy it.

The only omission is online play. SUGC doesn't have it.
