The first one sold about 1.77 million and came out in the begining of '07 and there were about 8 million 360 consoles. 2.7m copies does not sound fishy.

With more comeptition, it won't sell as well, I really doubt it will sell nearly 3m, more than they expect Resi 5 to sell

Yes, but 2 million in a tiny territory is quite different than 900k in two giant terriotories.
Plus the growth needed is incredibly different.

610k -> 900k
They are lying. They didn't release 37 new titles for the DS in the past FY, neither they released 14 new Wii titles.
They are lying to the investors and that's a crime. It's either that, or they are talking about games which they plan to ship more copies.
In other words, the 9 Wii games are probably
MotoGP08 released in April in Pal regions
Neopets, released in May in PAL regions
MHTri, released summer in 2009
RE:DSC released in Q1 2010 (appeared on Gamestop)
Spyborgs launching Holidays 09
RE Archives 0 launching June 09
RE Archives launching June 09
Monster Hunter G launched in April
MotoGP 2009 probably launches in October 2009
So dont expect any surprises for the Wii, those are the games they are talking about. And they lie if they say they are 9 new games, because MotoGP08, Neopets, RE0, RE were already released last FY, so they arent new games.

What they said is that they SHIPPED units of 110 different games. I honestly can't remember seeing 37 new DS games last year, because 37 is the total number of games they released for the DS in its entire lifetime. Same goes for the Wii, you should read my previous post about this. There's no way in hell they are going to release 28 new DS games when there's barely only 1 new game announced which is Ace Attorney.

They shipped 37 DS games. Check their numbers. You'll see that they shipped GC and Xbox titles well past their lifespan, and no new games came out.
You should check the original Capcom article before spouting off like a raving lunatic.

I read the article and that article has something wrong, as in, those titles shipped arent new games like The Source thought. They are either games that shipped extra units that fiscal year or Capcom counts each release across each region as a different game. Else it never adds up. There weren't 37 new DS games last year, neither were 14 new Wii titles for that matter.
