It's obviously an opinionated statement. Putting aside the whole BS metacritic aspect of the argument, and the dozens of awards MGS4 has won for GOTY, graphics, voice acting, story, action, I wanted to make a point that I believe that we're talking about the best game ever made. So the fact that I want it to come to 360 falls right in line with this. I believe some die hard 360 fans on this site would really like MGS4.

like i said a million times, Metacritic is BS , anyone can make a site and make a review of the game and it will be added to the MetaScore.
i know this from experience.

MGS4 was one of the most visually pleasing games, but in terms of depth MGS takes the cake. MGS4 was overhyped upon launch (Just like GTA4) and I finally bought a PS3 and played it. The game was great, but not "OMG!!" I agree with you that everyone should play the game, but I highly doubt it will go to the 360. We'll see at E309 where this goes.

MGS4 isn't even in the world-wide top 200 anymore, which means that Konami isn't making much on it.

But, if Konami were to sink $5 million in to porting the game, release it on the 360 and it were to sell at least a mere million copies (very likely), they'd pocket an additional $35 million (estimating an average selling price of $39/copy) above the cost of the port.

...for what is, currently, a title long past its prime, selling only 2.5k copies/week worldwide.

Seems to make business sense to me. Particularly as MGS4 was supposed to be the 'last' one in the series. PS3 got its exclusive time and made its money, but now MGS4 is just sitting with millions in potential earnings for Konami.

I like my 360 more than my ps3.
I already own MGS4
I'll still definatley be buying this for 360 if somehow it got released. I don't understand why you would pass up on a great game.

K, so after a couple pages, I'd like to clarify a few things

1) this is not a boycott post like the other dude created, I'm not trying start a boycott, I just wanted to rant about why I don't think MGS4 coming to the 360 is a good thing, and why I'm not going to purchase it.

2) I'm in no way saying MGS4 is a bad game. I know its a great game, I know that its won its fair share of awards and that its one of the top rated games on metacritic

3) I wish I would of left off the DVD remark from my list.. I really could care less that it made fun of the DVD format, it was just an extra item that I decided to add last minute. oh well.. lesson learned, sometime "less is more"..
