If there is a market for games, the games will be made. The only reason for anybody to stop making non-casual games is if non-casual gamers disappear. They spend lots of money on games, and people want that money.

Please name a single company that has stopped making hardcore games to make only casual games. Just one.

Nintendo.

Don't try and deny all its games haven't been dumbed down/casualised this gen.  Though to be fair it didn't start to happen this gen.

I'm torn between telling you this is the dumbest argument you've made in this vein and telling you that you need to go play Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

He'll just probably say that Fire Emblem was casualized - and thus, ruined forever- since you can save during a battle.

Hilariously on-topic, that ability is all that's keeping me from going insane in this particular mission!

The Casuals of today is the Hardcore of tomorrow....

So yes it is.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Really?  This is an interesting notion considering most anti-casual gamers claim casual gamers to be of older age ranges.  Are you suggesting most of them will move on to Halo and MGS in their senior years?

Madworld? That game was boring and tedious. I am tired of people using it as a barometer of "good wii games" whent it wasn't. I can't see this game being a million seller. Is just not one of those.

And what'st wrong with those kind of games. If people buy them is because THEY ARE FUN. PERIOD.

So MGS4 costed millions of dollars and was a high tech interactive movie..and? That doesn't makes it a Masterpiece. Just a very expensive game.

nonono, you see, he'll come in here, and say that he beat the hard mode of radiant dawn without loosing one person on top of never having saved once through out the entire game because it's too easy.
