Yeah, that was pretty much it. They were all impressed and surprised that Chikorita was following Satoshi around, and went on about how awesome it was for 30 seconds :P

I hate it when people use the Japanese names from the anime. And it's NOT Satoshi (Ash), it's Gold (going by the Manga's names; the rival would be Silver, and the female main character is Crystal).

I suggest other users on this forum to read the Manga that Serebii has on his website. It is WAY better than the anime. There are no slides of it, however, but just the descriptions of the issue and it's chapters. I highly recommend reading it. Very entertaining

Oh, and the wind that you see swirling in New Bark Town is from the town itself; Where the Winds of New Beginnings Blow (or something like that, can't remember...).

That's why I have both Gold and Silver. Sadly, Gold doesn't save for me anymore, so I have to start a file and get up to the point where I can trade. I leave the game on, restart silver, and once I can I trade all of my awesome pokemon back.

 

You could always change the battery so it saves....

 

(the games internal battery)

Then take it up with the people in the video instead of me. They're the ones writing "Satoshi" on the screen. I generally just call him Ash or Red.

Take another look. They are saying that Chikorita is following the player character around just like Pikachu follows Satoshi/Ash. They weren't calling the player character Satoshi.

Never have I seen so many people go ga-ga over so little ;)

As long as the new game has some form of "speed" setting, I'm in. I remember playing and enjoying Silver (and never finishing it :P) - but Diamond drove me crazy with the ultra-slow battles. Not interesting spending 50hrs of my life watching animations...

Really? It sounds slower, but the quality is much better. I prefer this version.
