Forums - Gaming - do # of great games released in 09 on (THE BIG 3) reflect market position ?

what do you think?

will the number of quality games released in 2009 on each console reflect thier respected market positions?

Wii: has sold the most and should have the most quality games in 2009

360: its ahead of PS3, thus should have more quality titles in 2009

PS3: is last so should have least quality titles in 2009 compared to Wii & 360

----------------------------------

does great gaming truly reflect market position? back in the PS1 and PS2 days it was clear that market leader(ie the one with most sales) had best array of great titles.

so it should follow suit during this generation also or does it?

so now currently we have Wii as 1st, 360 as 2nd, and PS3 as 3rd

its a tough one to call, but i might possibly have to back the 3rd place console in providing the best gaming in 2009

what bout you?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Its the complete Reverse IMO.

PS3 - least sales, best games
360 - Middle sales, good games
Wii - Best Sales, what games? (In other words there are no Wii game's I'd like)

PS3 looks to have the most, and best games.
360 is in the middle.
Wii has plenty of games being released... but rarely any good ones.

actually I think Sony and MS will have very close in terms of quality lineups this year while Nintendo will have the fewest. In other words no, game lineup does not necessarily reflect market share.

Sony will offer the best games, but the worst sales.

Microsoft will offer decent games and decent sales.

Nintendo will offer games and best sales.

I think that's how it should be, but if we're going by what we know so far, it's the complete reverse. However, E3 is just around the corner, and considering we know absolutely nothing about Nintendo's Wii-games after Wii Sports Resort, it's too early to call, I think.

I see Microsoft offering a lot of great game and Sony already has many announced.

For top notch games in 2009 Sony+Microsoft > Nintendo

There's no need to combine MS and Sony. For many, Sony and Microsofts lineup's beat Nintys on their own

The thing that hurts Nintendo's lineup to me is the lack of the multiplat games. Their first party in incredible and makes amazing games but it sucks missing out on games like RE5, SF4, Assassins Creed 2, Bioshock 2 etc.
