| MikeB said: @ FKNetwork Blu Ray isn't doing very well at all in the UK (not sure about other places in the world), I think 3.7 million movies sold last year (2008) for the UK is a pretty honorable result at this point, of this 1.5 million units were sold in December which represents a 400% year over year increase for December. The UK is only lagging behind the US and Japan with regard to adoption, the US saw Blu-Ray sales for last year rise by 320%. ome stores no longer sell bluray films here and some are heading that way too Strange place you're living. Retailers around here tell me how happy they are with Blu-Ray, they now use it to show off the clarity of the HDTVs they are selling. In their opinion this makes a huge difference with customer perception (sometimes noting, it's like looking through a window!). |
Because FKNetwork lives in a place where things are not going as well for Blu-ray as you want you label it a "strange place"? WTF? Its a real place, one Sony needs to worry about, just like the rest of the worldwide market.
And these marketing surveys you are doing at retailers in the Netherlands where you talk about the great reaction from retailers. Well sorry, we can't trust someone who has been in talks with Sony for their own business on this. You are not a neutral source.
