Lets see, the average price for the Xbox 360 is $290. A little over half of the Xbox 360s leave with Xbox Live subscriptions going by Live Gold attach rate and you've also got to consider the Arcade pack which costs $99 but is arguably better value than the Premium on its own with the Live subscription which people are buying with the Arcades. So the real price people are willing to pay for the Xbox 360 is pretty close to the price people pay for the PS3. I think people just want the Xbox 360 more.

Before the Price cut the average price of the Xbox 360 was probably higher than the PS3 by the time you added your Live Gold or Play n Charge kit. Also I was just talking about America as this is the Americas up thread. Microsoft in Europe on the otherhand is simply buying their way into parity/lead over Sony.
