Well, the PS3 is still selling better than 2 years ago, when it was having its epic battle with the GBA:

DS outselling PSP 4.5:1 Awesome.
So what should sony focus on? Getting the PSP back to life or get the PS3 away from last place. Hard decision. I do not think they can afford to do both at the same time.

Horrible PS3 numbers, low 360 and mediocre Wii numbers (according to Wii standards, that is). Why did the Wii lose another 0.2% marketshare? Adjustments? I can't really see that the numbers have changed much, only the percentages.
PS3 really needs a lower price in US it would seem. Not as bad as it's been, but a big dip nonetheless.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I don't get the point of the comparison. The GBA was usually selling around 50k back then, so it's not quite the same kind of battle (the DS came out in late 2004).

Anyways, 25k/week is sort of the uh-oh treshold. It isn't quite there yet, but it's trending downward...
Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).
The Wii is doing slow, at least it's regained a 50%+ weekly share.
