Then you're not really one of the people I'm referring to with the statement. There were a lot of people hyped about the game before and they either have disappeared or seem to have lost interest in the game. |
Thats weird.

I seem to recall "we don't buy exclusivitiy" for some reason....
I'm actually glad that sony is fighting back. Even though Ghostbusters is not (I feel) the most ideal start, at least they are finally pushing the 3rd party software front. By being bitch slapped by MS with 3rd party exclusivity for the last 3 years, hopefully Sony will up it's games and be the strongest 1st and 3rd party console (It's currently second in both, in my opinion).

Any links to say how much SONY payed for it? |
Either this means 1 of 2 things
1—you didn’t read the article and are assuming that Sony is going to put out this game for free….
2—or you the argument is not going to be about who buys games but rather who pays more

What are you talking about? This game was on schedule. All versions were set to release on June 19th. This deal only delays the game for the 360, Wii, PC, and DS.

I may be mistaken, but wasn't the 'Last Remnant' situation the same as this?

I forgot about that one

Well, as mentioned, boohoo, Sony & Nintendo fans have been dealing with this kind of stuff the whole gen. It's Micrsosoft who entered a race to "kill off" the competition, THAT'S trying to screw over gamers. At least Ghostbusters is coming to the 360. Sorry about the rant, I just think this complaining is quite pathetic. |
Buying exclusives? To the best of my knowledge the things MS has purchased are timed exclusives and exclusive content to make their versions better. Sony was and still is the king of Moneyhatting, so I don't get your point here bro. The only reason Sony expected third partys to kiss their ass was because they had been financially in so many third parties back pockets last gen and this gen they expected loyalty. Sorry, there was an economic downturn and Microsofts fanbase looks pretty nice.
why all the outrage over sony buying out this game? It's just ghostbusters. Chances are it would have been relevant for a few weeks and vanished to bargain bins across the world.

....dude, its not about GB, its the fact that some dumbass journalist took the time to bash SONY for helping a developer, and accusing them of giving apparently all 64 million people ready to buy this the finger, when MS has become the poster boy for this shit...wheres are those articles for PS3 GTA, Fallout DLC, TOV, ES, SO4, ext owners!!??? |
The author addresses this... whydo you keep making this arguement? When you bought GTA 4 or Fallout 3, you knew that there wasn't any downloadable content coming to it. Actually, you knew months, if not years, in advance, from previews about the games. This isn't about the act of securing rights to content for your system. It's about doing so at the last minute, and screwing over:
a. excited gamers expecting this game in the next month or so
b. gamers who preordered
c. retailers
