Looks like i have a lot more people on my side. 43 professional reviewers, 77 users, and the rest of the internet.

So a game that is primarily targetted at a market which consists of people who don't read game reviews and don't visit game sites, is fairly judged by people who read and write reviews and people who not only visit game sites, but take the effort to go out of their way to contribute?

So? Your point is ?

We on this forum are as hardcore gamers as you can get to the point of talking of our hobby and having huge disputes about it. Those reviews clearly show that for audience like ours this is shovelware.

You know, it's not the first time I notice you feel you are above others... and that's fine. Anyway, I'll take your approach and instead of asking, I'll say that I belong to that audience, and the game is awesome. And everyone who calls it shovelware (different from no liking the genre) it's just limited ;)

no it's the review system that is broken and this game clearly showed it everyone - with lots of training you can do great things with this game - but how come any reviewer can know this when they played this game for 5-6 hours? it took me more time to finish all exercises in this game and have some mindless fun making as weird bands as it was possible before i actually started playing this game.

Wii Music is a great game, one of my best!

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

So the review system is broken because... reviewers don't have the same opinion about this game as you?

^ yup and a game is shovelware because I don't like it.

It's still a flop. Just like Little Big Planet.

I don't think I may ever enjoy Wii Music, yet I think that Nintendo is incredibly good at developing cheap games which can sell over one milion, and that's impressive. Furthermore, it was made by EAD 2, the casual team in Nintendo, so I don't get why everyone thinks that it sucked time for the next Zelda, the next Mario and the next Pikmin. Of course I'd prefer to see Sin & Punishment 2 selling that much, but I know it's impossible cause we are talking of niche games. Wii Music was advertised a lot, and according to me it's gonna be over 4 milion in a couple of years.

Hardcore gamers don't exist how you people think.

Being a "Hardcore gamer" has nothing to do with prefrence of games.

Hardcore gamer has to do with usage rates and patterns.

The problem with the reviewers aren't nessisarily they are hardcore gamers... it's that they have no culture of "higher standards" other then "did I personally like this movie" and videogame culture online has largely been based around the same few very niche groups of people.

Even before the Wii came out reviewers didn't speak for the majority it was still a problem. The problem is just more magnified now.

Don't buy it then.

It had "wii" in the title, did anyone really think it wasn't going to sell well?

I'm not surprised that it isn't wii fit however, it just didn't seem to have the hyper seller vibe to it that fit had before release.
