Well that's definately the saddest thing I've seen on these forums yet.

On a happier note. I think the Loonie is so high because it's celebrating the NDP's byelection win in Quebec!

Man, I would love to live in Canada. It's cold weather, girls, peaceful living, good economy... Canada = kick ass.

Our mexican peso is going in a nosedive lately... and now they are increasing prices to everything! And taxes! Stupid socialist economy...

I was born and raised in Canada, its not the best country but its better then those leftest euro trash countries. Half of europe is still part third world for fuck sakes. Just like those crappy asian countries, and the dirty south american countries aswell. The US is by far the best country in the world and atleast they have a brain to elect Mr Bush twice, the greatest man ever.

Canada is on the right step having a conservative government in place, good thing no one likes the leftest hippies the NDP. And the liberals are no better.

My post is no hate speech against anyone culture or race. I have no problem with anyone, i just hate the crappy leftest agenda.

Loonie vaults over 99 cents US in overseas trade

Canada's currency continued its flight toward parity with the U.S. greenback as the loonie briefly breached the 99-cent US mark in overnight trading on global currency markets.

The Canadian dollar set another standard in overseas trading at 99.18 cents US.

Later in the day, following the release of surprisingly benign Canadian inflation data, the loonie was going for 98.46 cents US in North American trading, down 0.18 of a cent from Tuesday's close.

The Canadian dollar has not seen similar values against the U.S. dollar since January 1976.

"Analysts say any day now, Canadians will wake up to find out a Canadian dollar is worth exactly as much as the U.S. dollar; maybe even a little more," CBC-TV's Danielle Bochove said Wednesday.
