Forums - Sony - Sony bags Ghostbusters timed-exclusive

Last time I checked a PSP version wasn't even being made, I hope this means that NA will get the PSP version too?

To answer my own question, the game will have a worldwide release on PSP in autumn. Good stuff! The PSP version was rumoured, then shut down, and now it's real! I might end up buying this game after all...

What everybody here is failing to understand is that the Ghostbusters are the dopest busters around, and that anybody who tries to take that away from us, or even keep it from us for a couple months, is a horrible evil force that must be destroyed. What is Sony gonna do next, ban chocolate milk and hugs?

Except it's arguable this is going to help Sony that much it's certainly going to piss off people who were looking to buy one of the other versions of the game, which Sony was still going to get money for. My options now are as Hitler says "to wait until God fucking knows when" or pay 700 dollars to play the game in June, which isn't really much of an option.

errr.... this is only in PAL territories. Second, where is the PS3 selling for $699.99?

$399+tax for a Playstation 3=$435.

$60+tax=$65 for the game.

$60+tax=$65 for the second controller.

$20=monthly online provider fee to access the online features.

$25+tax=$29 for the Blu-Ray copy of the movie.

$750+tax=$795 for the HD T.V.

$400=monthly rent for the apartment in which to play the game.

$150+tax=$174 for the comfy chair in which to play the game.

$15+tax=$17 for your friend's bean bag chair.

$4=Day pass for the bus rides to pick up the game.

$2=electricity needed to run the hardware.

$245=total late fees on your credit card because you were too absorbed in the game to pay your bill on time.

Total True Cost to consumer because of Sony's dick move:

$2,251

I didn't think people would take the news this badly... I mean the amount of downplaying here is insane!

Well, this, in all honesty, was to be expected. Sony is doing lots now for their console, and are receiving crap for it. Before it was, "Sony isn't even trying to help their console", now the minute they get a timed exclusive deal, in one freakin region mind you, all they did was "moneyhat". The hypocrisy is just as insane.....

Did you think it's possible that i might be in a PAL territory? ;) People say "only in PAL" like they are talking about 11 people, two dwarves and an inguana living on the fringes of civilisation.  We account for something close to 40% of the videogame market these days.  I don't expect non-PAL gamers to be upset on my behalf but at least realise why I/we might not be too happy about this.

The RRP of the PS3 in Australia is $699 (i think), which is about $550 USD, add another ~$100 (75USD) for the game.

It's noname's brilliant job of humor.
