Forums - PC Discussion - WoW Account with Twin Blades Sells for 10,000 dollars

http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/09/16/rogue-with-twin-blades-of-azzinoth-sells-account-for-almost-10/

What can you do with $10,000? You can buy a nice used car, five awesome computer systems, 2,000 Happy Meals or 40,000 gumballs. You can also apparently become the best geared rogue in the world.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I hate WoW, so much. I have to listen to two roomates play it and two of my other roomates last semester dropped out because of it. It isn't even like it is that hardcore of an MMO compared to Everquest, FFXI, etc.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Pathetic.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Who in their right mind...

You could buy a HD-TV, a next gen console, a whole library of games...and a holiday for that amount.

It would be nice to be the guy that sold it anyway...

WoW has destroyed PC gaming. It killed many of the other good online games and has made everyone unwilling to play an MMO that is actually difficult. At least Blizzard is raking in money hand over fist.

So everybody knows who this guy is, and selling characters for real money is not allowed... what's stopping Blizzard from banning everyone involved?

So basically some idiot pays $10,000 for a WoW account, plays some PvP and sucks at it, and then gets banned. Wow...
