But this dosnt really matter cause there are so many casuals in America who buy the wii and end up completly crushing the PS3 (and 360 for that matter)

This article isn't about the 11 months in a row at some point last year, this article as about this year which is 2009.

 

Yes, its about this year. So if you want make a thread every month talking about how WW wii sales obliterate Ps3 sales, talk about how 360> PS3 worldwide go ahead.  THis thread is about PS3 beating the Wii by OVER 40K in the most insiginificant region. Make your own thread how Wii sales are double and triple the PS3 sales each week somewhere else.

 i find it stupid to make a thread for this

LoL, why are you so happy about the 40k and you make a thread about it, Ps3 took 4 months to be beat the Wii by 40k, imagine how much time it will take to beat the Wii by 5 million

Derail the topic?  Last I checked this is the "sales discussion" portion of the website.  Meaning you discuss sales.  The only ones derailing the topics are the ones who are defending the praise of PS3 ONLY.  This isn't a praise PS3 thread... this is a discuss PS3 beating Wii over the last couple of month's in Japan thread.  If the author wanted it to be a "praise PS3" thread he would have smartly put it in the Sony discussion section rather than this.  If people can't handled discussing sales or possibly incapable of doing it.. then that's fine.  But take it somewhere else and let the ones who do care about the current scenario other than just complimenting achievement discuss the logistics of this.

I love my ps3 and good for them they are selling a bit better. However, maybe it's just me but the first picture shown in this thread looks doctored. I can't say for sure but it just looks a little funny to me.

   That's rather lame of Wii fans to come up with this "who cares the Wii has already won Japan" excuse. If that's so then why have you entered this thread? The thread is about YTD japanese sales, not LTD. For me it seems like pure trolling.

   Then again, such a desperate damage control only further proves that Sony indeed does something right in Japan currently.

Wii fans did not made 10ths of threads in 2008 saying "Wii has beaten the Ps3 by 3 million in Japan the last 2 years"

but it's lame for Ps3 fans to make a lot of threads saying the same thing "Ps3 beaten Wii 8 times in a row" "beaten Wii 9 times in a row" "beaten wii by 40k" "Ps3 higher than Wii this week"

people made a thread just to say it's OVER 40k, for god's sake (imagine if there was a real difference what could have happened)

btw, Ps3 is doing AWFUL in Japan, even if it keeps selling 20k per week and beating Wii it's still awful!!
