Forums - Gaming - Square Enix Teases Unannounced "NEW GAME"

Sirens. Breaking glass. Gun shots. Square Enix has launched a new website for a "NEW GAME". It features a cityscape, a cacophony of sound and a quote from John Kennedy.

The Kennedy quote reads: "The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life."

There's not much more to go on it than that — making it a mysterious title. The site's URL confirms that: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/mystery/

Smart money says this could be recently trademarked Front Mission Evolved—or maybe the equally mysterious Vanguard Storm. That title could be related to the publisher's rumored "yet-to-be-announced action game," teased via a single mysterious screen shot in the latest PlayStation: The Official Magazine. Though, like, the URL says, this is a mystery.

Final Fantasy 7: Remake !!

It's Front Mission Evolved, just look at the site...

Hmm, I wonder if he was just talking about technology in general in that quote, or specifically about nuclear technology to which it could also apply(and could mean something for what this game is about). In the context of the cold war, the latter is possible. (Edit: this is called reading too much into something)

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Is this why they wanted the Fallout 3 engine?

probably front mission

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Sounds like a clone of The Political Machine.

I dunno but if you click on certain building in that link you drop a bomb on them.
