Forums - Nintendo - A Wiiware hopeful - Gish

Wow. I think I just might get this game.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Damn CEOs... never return any of my calls either. >_

Damn meetings with Japan and such...why doesn't the President of Nintendo like me??

Anyway, I'm sure this guy could work something out if he gives it time...I don't see how his game coming out later next year even would be bad for him...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

This guy might have had a chance before he decided to go all "Michael Moore" on Reggie.

What are the odds that Nintendo will even talk to this guy after he basically slandered NoA's president? What kind of message would that send? "Threaten us with bad press and we'll give you a devkit!"?

This guy put the nails in his own coffin.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

he didnt slander there president really. He just made it public and is trying to get a buzz going so nintendo takes notice.

It seems like a pretty cool game and something that I would download. Hopefully he can just get in contact with Nintendo...

This is what I find to be a bit funny... Nintendo has a developers website dedicated to handling things like this.  If he wants on the Wii, he needs to fill out an application like everyone else.

Hmmm...  I use to visit the website frequently back before the Wii came out...  can anyone remember where to find this site?

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

This is a good example of a programmer with zero business sense.

Honestly, what the hell is he thinking? "If I threaten Nintendo and generate tons of bad, bad press for them, they'll give me a shot at WiiWare!"

Nintendo isn't the kind of company who is going to respond well to threats, and that's essentially what this guy is pushing at them. If he hasn't earned himself a place on Nintendo's shit list, he's well on his way to doing so.

Agree completely. Its not the right way to do business - especially with Nintendo.

I'm sure there are *heaps* of indy-developers out there with a semi-cool game, and no business knowledge/sense.

(I'm actually in the process of contacting Ninty now re:WiiWare, really curious to see what sort of response I get...).

Reality has a Nintendo bias.
