My opinion is that even if it does come out on PS3, it may be a while yet (I would guess 6 months minimum) judging from ToV. You might also want to think how much more is extra content when for ToV it was only one supporting character? Late ports between consoles really didnt yield much extra content - other examples BioShock.

But take mine with a grain of salt as I only own a 360 and am extremely hungry for another JRPG already, even after The Last Remnant. Feel I have been waiting for SO4 for ages!

Tales of Vesperia for PS3 is much more than just 1 extra supporting character. It is getting Flynn along with Patty. It is also getting new Mystic Artes and from what I know, the ability to combine Mystic Artes. It supposedly will have added storyline to go along with the theatrical release as well as branching storylines. New bosses as well.

We also get double the voice acting. More script addition, more skits, more dungeons, etc.

Makes me wish I didn't grab the 360 version so quickly.

Yeah I enjoyed the hell out of it but the ending was just horrible. I really hope they fix that in the PS3 release.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Heh, at least I know I can beat you in the trophy race.

And, I was looking at the achievements. How do you have 50 more? Counting everything, you have 6 more secret missions (30pts) and the PiggyBank one. (10pts)

Yet you have 780.....

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Also new animated cutscenes, new songs and new sidequest. There are going to be more extra additons that the developers will explain in the coming months. This is not a port this is the true Tales of Vesperia.

i didnt think the issues some ppl have should keep u from getting this good rpg, i love this game. put over 100hrs into it now. :) also if its going to come to the ps3 it wont happen untill sometime in 2010 in japan and maybe, maybe late 2010 in the states. so get the 360 version and enjoy the game. ppl waiting for a game just to have small extra content is foolish to me. for example "tales of vesperia" ps3 version , the extra content they are giving ps3 owners is a joke, big damn deal 1 extra character and some small changes to the game. these small changes , makes u think u are getting the complete or real version when u arent , all u are getting is a $60 port. simple as that.

     Additional Content

  • Branching Storylines
  • Full voice acting
  • Flynn as a playable character
  • Events that ties-In with Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike
  • New playable character, a pirate girl called Patty Fleur
  • New Cutscenes
  • New Subplots
  • New Costumes
  • New Bosses
  • New Dungeons
  • New Hi Ougi/Mystic Artes
  • New Skits
  • New Animated Scenes
  • New Sidequests
  • New Songs
  • New Artes

Just one extra character and small changes? Are you sure about that?

M$ should use and extra dvd always just in case. they left too many things out.

 Most likely.

You can't pick it up until June5th so you could just wait for E3. If you don't hear it then well, screw it.

4 ≈ One

x360 version runs at 488p.
It`s on 3 dvds.
It has chance to be scratched on x360.
Not sure, how stable is framerate.

BUT,
PS3 version probably will be realeased only after 1 year.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Star Ocean 4 is coming out on the 5th of June, but there are issues with it. Nazna's review was critical of freezing problems, and I think there have been problems with slowdowns. Also, IGN's review highlighted backtracking issues over disc changing.

I know the game hasn't been announced for PS3 yet, but I am leaning towards waiting to get it on a blu-ray disc, most likely with extra content.

im betting it will be announced this year.

i also read about the dvd swapping issues and freezing.

im hoping it comes to ps3 anyways.
