Guys. As good as this look ... you aren't giving Pixar enough respect for what they do.

Agreed.  This is a gorgeous game by any meassure, but comparing it to a CGI pixar movie is pretty ridiculous.

There is a demo comming out soon right?  I'm looking forward to some PS3 owner impressions.  I loved the other Ratchet games, so be sure to tell me how awesome it is!

Why is there no bump mapping in this game? The textures are all flat...

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

As far as that goes, the shadow/lighting work seems pretty shoddy.

The game looks good, but I would expect better (much better) for the PS3.  I'm sure that will change with time though.

it's supposed to be flat... it looks better that way for the artistic style they're doing with the ratchet thing.

i think it looks brilliant.

I want this game so much. Too bad I don't have a PS3.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

It looks very good but saying "It looks like a pixar movie" demonstrates a lack of understanding of the effects that are used in pixar movies ... That is, unless you were claiming that it looks like a Pixar movie from 1995/1996 in which case I'd agree

It looks like the game was first designed with the PS2 in mind and then it was brought over to the PS3.  They have a good looking game but I'm not seeing the extra bells and whistles that we should see from a well polished product (on the PS3).  I'm sure in the sequels that Sony will make that they'll improve on these short comings... for now it's kinda acceptable as no one is really expecting more.

 Sorry... No Pixar

Brilliant looking game though and its good to see this style game on the PS3 as everything goes for too much super realism, where as I think that the non realism like this always looks so much better... eg: Mario Galaxy looks amazing on shallow hardware, this looks amazing on strong hardware.
