Pretty awful PS3 numbers. Think Sony know the game is up there really. They need to battle for europe but even there the gap has grown a lot.

E3 is only a month away now, Sony need to come out with the big guns, no-more talking about things 2-3 years away. The here and now is what matters.

Price point saturation. It's been at 400$/€ since November 2007. 

We will see a price drop this year, the question is when.


Indeed the first price cut was forced upon them too early in the consoles lifespan so they've had to suffer this long period at that price point. They do at least have the price cut option though so it's not all doom and gloom.

April is tax time in NA and there's a bad economy so I was expecting it to be this low.

All hardware down, prolly due to economic concerns. Hopefully, the ps3 will decrease again next week and make it under 100k WW? That would be nice. What heavy hitters are coming out in Japan for ps3? (we already know the big releases basically do nothing in NA)

Hopefully Arc Rise fantasia will put up some good numbers when it comes out, I am really hoping to see more jrpg devs switch over.
