Forums - Nintendo - The Conduit will suck! vs. The Conduit will rock!

I don't like the wii mote for shooters but i'll prolly rent this game or check it out at a friend's house at some point. it is nice to see that the wii's getting some attention from third parties though.

Will rock because: Could be the only good shooter on the wii

Will suck because: Wiimote is bad for FPS games

What?

The Wiimote is perfect for FPS games.

it seemed far less than perfect in metroid.  in fact, i think the game would have played much better with dual analog.

This is not a sleight against you Mr Bubbles because you are of course entitled to your opinion, but I honestly sometimes wonder if people are playing the same game as me, or if their settings are different, or if there was is problem with their sensor bar, or they're just not good with the Wii-mote.  I think there must be some explanation because i really don't get this.

If I could play Halo or Gears with the Wiimote it would be a much better experience.

The Conduit will meh:
~ Graphics - Saw better graphics last gen
~ Controls - Wii controls are almost always bad, but at least usable in a FPS
~ Multiplayer - online play on the Wii are still super outdated

Halo, yes. Gears...I dunno. As a heavy Gears player, I can't imagine the incredibly stiff movement working with the nunchuk. That said, the chainsaw would be awesome with the 'mote.

I probably haven't played as much Gears as you, but I've beaten the single player on both games, and played a good amount of horde mode and multiplayer.  I really miss my IR pointer when playing that game.

in my case it's more wishing for a mouse control but a wiimote would be the most fun to play with.
