why are sony fans ALL OF THE SUDDEN NOT CONCERNED ABOUT SALES NUMBERs???

How man times have sony fanboys thrown arond the ps2 sales numbers and game sales on that system....but since they are in last place with the ps3 and losing boatloads of $$$$$$$$$$ , nothing matters except number of games releasing even if they get crappy reviews and have crappy sales.

IN every internet game forum you have the same SDF nutbars listing the same ps3 games hoping one will save their last place system.  The list of games has become the laughingstock of SDF Morons.  Half of  the games they list have no release date, and may not even release until 2010.  Nobody takes you serious anymore.  Stop with the list of games, start with logical thinking.

If so are you expecting an expansion to sell more than 3x as much as the main game? LOL and if you say yes, I would like to bet you a couple of thousand dollars that you're wrong.

With the exception of Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo, no Sony game has ever been acknowledged for selling 1 billion copies. But the variety in quality has ALWAYS been what Sony is about. At this moment in the PS3's life, we CAN brag about "the number of games releasing" because we're getting SO many in a relatively short amount of time, and all look to be AAA status, if they aren't already. Because I've already gotten KZ2, inFamous in a month, and GT5, GoWIII, Heavy Rain, WKC, etc, to look forward to ALL this year...and all you have is.....an expansion, don't get your panites in a bunch about it.

I, for one, have NEVER tossed around sales numbers for the PS2. The original God of War, one of the best games of all time, only sold like 3 million on a high PS2 install base. Does that mean the game sucks? HELL NO. The entire Jak series, nothing crossed 4 million, but do they suck? HELL NO.

You can brag about Halo selling 9-10 million all you want, but that's ONE game. I'd rather have a PLETHORA of games with VARIETY and QUALITY that only sell 1-3 million each than have ONE or TWO games that sell over 5 million.

Talk about the PS3 being in last place. I don't care. We all know the one factor holding it back is price. But to someone who is a GAMER, and looking at the comparing lineups of this year and even next year....I don't care if the PS3 is in last place. Hell, let the Zeebo come in and put the PS3 in 4th place. The consensus would still be that my games are better than yours by most major media outlets and by individual opinion

@bmaker - actually the xbox 360 has MORE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF GAMES than ps3.

XBOX 360 HAS 137 games rated above 80 on metacritic.

PS3 ONLY HAS 93.

I think you mean 2008, Sony made some 4+billion in 2007 IIRC.

Sony is a big clusterfuck of a company, they make 100 billion in revenue, but 4 billion in profits, that's ridiculous, they should be making a good 10 billion in profits, but because each sister company is completely separate from the other and some sections have been slacking big time, they get the profit they get.

360 has been out longer...

Give us EXCLUSIVES above 85, and i may agree with you... untill then, i say PS3 has the best library of the 2.

I guess you're still playing Dead Rising 1 and Call of Duty 2 then? I'm not trying to say that a back catalog of games suddenly disappears whenever a new year comes....but I'm sick of everyone throwing that statistic around when it includes old games that no one plays anymore.

Compare this year so far. You got Star Ocean (which turned out mediocre), an average RTS that HAPPENS to carry the name Halo, and a bootleg Ninja Gaiden. Sony put out KZ2, which alone is magnificent, inFamous is coming out in a month, and you already know what else is coming this year.....and all you have is an expansionto look forward to. And you want to tell me the the 360 lineup is better? Again:
