Maybe they just shouldn't announce games so early. Everyone knows there's another Zelda coming. But when? I'm sure Final Fantasy fans would have no problem with S-E if they kept the game under wraps longer before making an official announcement because they all know a new installment will come.

From what I've read, the Last Remnant suffered from a plethora of technical issues and minor gameplay flaws that held back what was a pretty good concept. Seemingly the game was rushed. Do they want to start doing this with all their titles?

Infact, i demand that FF13 is delayed another 6 months. For Japan

So they take a long time to make games, and take a long time to figure out they take a long time to make games.

Perhaps they should change the name to Square Entish

Japanese gamers have been preordering Dragon Quest for over a year now, so I do beleive Square Enix takes forever to make games, considering that many publishers release games on a weekly basis across many platforms, while SE is releasing most of its games as exclusives, usualy one game per month.

There's a lot more problems w/ Last Remnant than just small issues. Fixing those flaws made it playable but far from a high quality game. Playing the game made it so incredibly obvious that it was rushed. There's basically no character development, plot development is barely there, they don't explain ANYTHING about the battles, etc etc. Its like they tossed anything they can, including assets for other games they had lying around, into one thing and hoped it worked. I was so disappointed by the game. If they had another 1-2 yrs to flesh it out, would've been so much better.

You would be surprised how many posters even on vgChartz are unable to associate Square Enix with anything beyond their flagship Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest franchises.
