Forums - Nintendo - N.O.E. failure...

I never had any problem accessing NOE official site. So what do you mean?
NOE is a failure for all kind of other reasons to me:
- No japanese translation on discs. This is worse than what you think, because we don't even get our native language. I would have no problem getting even a crappy voice over in my native language, but getting an always crappy english dub on a japanese original voices game is sth I won't stand for long. Keep in mind that all of this is while getting ...
- 60 € games!! Nintendo ones are 50 €, but still. I've got no problem paying more, as long as we get quality. 60 € for gray shades manuals, no native dub, and poor translation is sth I won't stand anymore.
- High delays between release in Japan or USA and release here

And then they wonder why we buy less games in Europe. I leave one more chance to NOE before not buying from them anymore (and getting a japanese console).

Around the Network

AGAIN. NOE is not a "failure" for those reasons.

The entire electronics and videogame trade to Europe is like this. You get delays on games for every system (with occasional games early)...you get screwed on various things for all sorts of electronics, it's not just Nintendo...if you want it fixed, you'll have to fix relations with Europe for every company out there I'd imagine...it's just something you gotta deal with.

Last update: Week ending November 3, 2007

Nintendo finally provided polish site... and... it's really pathetic. Nintendo don't care about Europe (especially eastern)...

I can also add that still there is no PSN store in Poland... yeah I have an accounts everywhere but... it would be nice.

This is EVERY videogame company not just Nintendo. Actually I'd argue this Europe got super mario strikers an actual wi-fi playable game well before America did, and Europe got the Wii around the same time as Japan.(I think within 24 hours of eachother) SCEE fails far worse at high delays...

Around the Network

@ALKO @johnny6, be happy that you can at least use those points, here in northern Europe you can't do that :(

@souixan, so yeah, we get game or two before U.S. ... yay. How about those games almost never make it here (mostly anime and rpg's)(don't even make me remember Snes day's :( ) or are delayed for ½ year or more (Trauma Center)...

Edit: typo fix

Nothing's cheaper than something free.

F1 vs FOTA, when too much power is in couple peoples hands.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I actually got a neato Nintendo key tag for my star points. I'm very satisfied with that kind of reward.

Hardcore gaming is a bubble economy blown up by Microsoft's $7 $6 billion losses.

You're right of course, but that doesn't make it any less a failure.

Like others have said, how about the games that never come to Europe?

As a JRPG fan, imagine that you're actually forced to mod your console to even play some of those. If I hadn't modded every one of my consoles before, I just would have missed some of the best games I ever played.

My problem is more with the region lock actually. I have no problem with the PS3, PSP or the DS, as you can play games from wherever you want with them. Then the problem is finding some store that ship games to Europe.

Man, that's like they want to encourage piracy.

for all:

I mean this:

http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/it/IT/community/index.jsp

-can you access the european community???
-do you know that pathetic situation now has been lasting for 3 months now???
-isn't this a shame for a big company like nintendo(who is speaking consider himself a 100% nintendian and love nintendo)???

how many months, years this situation has to continue until people start to complain????

for the star point issue:

maybe you don't know that on the english portal they put an erroneous item in star catalogue to buy wiipoints using star points and the for this error they received a lot of complaints...

is this serious for a company like nintendo????

and there are a lot of errors in all european managment!!!!

the list is so long...

let's speaking of "mafia" on EA item in star catalogue????

let's speaking of third party employes known by admins using forum to get marketing info from users???

ask any european if they are happpy with N.O.E. site managment...

is not now the time for usere to pretend a t lest a decente portal????

I know there are many sites blog and communities, but this does not mean thet a big company like nintendo shuold make such a crappy official site!!!!!

I wonder which criteria are used to choose admins and managment for european sites.

what I fear
what I really fear is that in next months or years we will be still here speaking of their european managment problems!!!!

there is an user complaints about me opening another treahd about this topic...
please do not be afraid...
I'll stop opening threads about european managment...

I'l stop when there will be no more problems!!!

but now 16 of september 2007 N.O.E. still have the same old problems

and nobody at nintendo seems care about this...

this is the shame.

Eh, nobody cares, sorry. Sucks for you Europeans...but don't just blame Nintendo...every company does this.
